Situated on a remote acreage above Nicola Lake, Sagebrush Golf Club was conceived by Richard Zokol in collaboration with Rod Whitman and Armen Suny. Opening its doors in 2009, Sagebrush quickly garnered critical acclaim and secured a spot in ScoreGolf’s Top 10 Canadian Courses, earning the title of “Best New Canadian Course.”
However, the club faced financial difficulties and embarked on a tumultuous journey in 2014, akin to its undulating fairways. Although plans were made to reopen under Troon Management in 2016, the envisioned revival never came to fruition.
At the beginning of 2021, Sagebrush underwent a change in ownership and management. Given that digital marketing wasn’t prevalent in 2014, the club found itself in need of a complete digital overhaul. With their focus on operational aspects, they lacked the time and expertise to determine where to begin.
Our collaboration began by creating captivating photos and videos for their website launch, setting the stage for the brand’s look, feel, and tone. Subsequently, we embarked on developing their digital marketing strategy, commencing with their social media presence and content creation to populate those platforms. To date, we have produced numerous content pieces and organically cultivated a dedicated following, leading to significant audience engagement.
In searching for a partner that could help Sagebrush with not only our photo and video asset needs, but also wanting to make social media a significant portion of our marketing and communication, we landed on Par Six Golf and Colby Johannson, and couldn’t be happier with our results. Not only were they able to take advantage of the photogenic nature of our property, but they also engaged our client base and represented our brand exactly as we had envisioned. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for these services in the golf-industry to have a conversation with Par Six Golf.
